Congratulations to our May Safety Award Winners!

Darrin Pinto in Acushnet took first place for his work painting the legs of the C32 conveyor a high visibility orange, thus preventing a possible Yellow Iron event as stockpiles were growing closer to the legs, Thanks Darrin!

We would also like to congratulate and recognize Frank McKinnon with a safety award for identifying and mitigating a traffic hazard associated with the storage of rubber pallets by installing the proper safety signage at the Lunenburg plant.

A big thank you to Darrin, Frank, John, Ron and all P.J. Keating employees for making safety a priority, preventing incidents and keeping their crews and coworkers out safe!

The May CORE Award was awarded to George Cormier and Eddie Venckauskas for their work on the East & Maple St. Project in Tewksbury. George and Eddie took initiative when heavy rains late at night created blow outs and a hazard for motorists. They took swift action coming from home and jumping in to help any way they could, working with police to create a safe space for crews to work in the weather and with their help the area was soon returned to safe conditions for weekend traffic. Great work!
